LVDT displacement sensor can monitor the tunnel in real time

The displacement data acquisition and detection system can monitor the tunnel in real time. The main purpose of this is to prevent the tunnel collapse suddenly which may cause a heavy loss. Relevant sensors have been deployed in key stress-bearing parts of the tunnel where structural cracking, settlement, etc. have occurred, for real-time monitoring, setting thresholds in the system, automatic alarms for over-values, and preventing relevant management departments before they happen.

Soway's displacement data acquisition and detection system can provide customized sensor solutions for different roads and bridges.

1. Rebound LVDT displacement sensor solution

The detection iron core (probe) is connected with the sensor main body. The contact probe is made of wear-resistant plated hard tool steel or plastic flat head, and the middle is connected with a spring. When the measured object touches the probe, it retracts and the amount of compression is the displacement of the product, from the deformation to the measured object. As the measured object leaves, the core rebounds automatically due to the action of the spring.

This kind of sensor is used when the measured object is inconvenient to connect to the iron core, such as testing a machine's deformation, expansion and stretch, roll gap, object's thickness, tool positioning, road or bridge's structure detection.

2. Split LVDT displacement sensor solution

The detection core is separated from the sensor body which is a hollow cylinder, the diameter of the core is smaller than the inner diameter of the cylinder, and the core can be inserted into the hollow cylinder. As long as there is a relative displacement between the sensor and the core, the sensor can sense it automatically. The core is non contact, so this sensor has a long life and high frequency response due to no mechanical friction. It can be used to detect the distance of moving mechanical equipment, such as punches, rolling mills, diesel units, oil cylinders (hydraulic cylinders), testing machines, injection molding machines, and valve opening detection.
